New Evangelical
Catholic Parish
Established in Ashippun Wisconsin
The Evangelical Catholic Diocese of
the Northwest is pleased to announce the establishment of a new
parish in Ashippun Wisconsin.
The Holy Name of Jesus Evangelical
Catholic Church celebrated its first Mass this past Sunday with over
200 people in attendance.
Bishop James Wilkowski, along with the
Rev. Canon Michael Bonnett and Fr. Peter McGechie, concelebrated
this Mass in which the Rev. David Verhasselt was canonically
received into the Evangelical Catholic Church during the Mass. Fr.
Verhasselt has been appointed as pastor of Holy Name of Jesus and
will complete his process of clerical incardination into the Diocese
of the Northwest before the end of the year.
During these initial weeks of
establishment and organization, the community of Holy Name of Jesus
will celebrate its weekend Mass at 5:00 PM on Saturday at
N557 Main Street in
