The Saint Joseph the Worker Award
It is
the intention of the Bishop’s Dinner and Awards Ceremony is to recognize and
honor the work of individuals and organizations which, we believe, enhances
the quality of life for our community and builds up the Kingdom of God on
Earth.
The
majority of those whom Bishop Wilkowski has honored have not always been
“house-hold” names – but it has been the scope of their work and service
which our community-at-large is more often familiar with.
Our
annual celebration provides the Bishop and the Evangelical Catholic Diocese
of the Northwest to simply say “thank you” to our honorees.
In
expressing our gratitude to our honorees, Bishop Wilkowski bestows the Saint
Joseph the Worker Award to each individual and organization being
recognized.
The
Bishop selected the Saint Joseph the Worker Award because those chosen to be
honored have witnessed the example of Joseph – working for the greater good
and doing so with love and humility.
