Greetings:

Since the announcement of the decision to remove and separate the Reverend James Radloff, along with others, from the ranks of the Evangelical Catholic Church and the Diocese of the Northwest, I have received an overwhelming amount of emails and calls regarding the matter of James Radloff.

It was my hope that my letter of July 7, 2020 separating Fr. Radloff from the ECC and the DNW was self explanatory in naming the problems and issues which led to the separation decision.  Upon reflection I do not see the need for any additional statements from me regarding that which led up to July 7, 2020.

Fr. James Radloff, as of July 7, 2020,  is no longer a priest within the Evangelical Catholic Church and is now at liberty to pursue any alternative direction for himself.  The Roman Catholic Diocese of Baker has been informed of Fr. Radloff's change of status with the ECC and may or may not have comments to make.

Permit me to once again state that Canon Mark Hebert is now the currently recognized priest with official faculties representing the Mission of the ECC and the DNW in the state of Oregon.  For those who wish to continue their pastoral, sacramental and liturgical journey with the ECC - Canon Mark is willing and prepared to be of service to one and all.  Canon Mark has my trust and confidence.

As in any relationship that comes to a difficult end there is pain, frustration and hurt.  I am sincerely sorry to anyone in Bend who have been troubled by the decision that was forced upon me on July 7th.  This action brought me no joy - only hurt and sadness.

As with all religious jurisdictions the Evangelical Catholic Church has a clearly defined set of Canon Laws, policies and principles which serves to provide order, focus and stabilities for our continuing mission of service to the People of God.  It is the responsibilities of the clergy and the members of the church body to respect, uphold and witness the aforementioned.  No jurisdiction can survive if dysfunctionalities are permitted to go unaddressed. I love the Evangelical Catholic Church and in the end I pray that my letter of July 7th may be seen as a testament of my unconditional commitment to it.

Let me conclude by saying once again that Canon Mark is in Bend and is prepared to provide pastoral care and service to one and all and is also prepared and willing to support anyone during this sad time in our shared journey.

I sincerely hope that this clarification will be of help and support to all.

Please be assured that regardless of recent events, you all remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I remain,

Respectfully Yours in Christ,
