Presiding Bishop Seeks Vocations to Priesthood

Bishop David J. Doyle, Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Catholic Church, is seeking qualified men and women as candidates for priesthood within the Evangelical Catholic Church.

The Evangelical Catholic Church has received a number of inquiries from throughout the United States from individuals and groups wishing to have new missions created for them.  In order to do this, the Church needs deacons and priests to serve such missions.

The Evangelical Catholic Church, a validly consecrated reformed and continuing Catholic faith community, is especially interested in dialogue with inactive priests who wish to resume their vocations and with women who have the academic qualifications for ordination.  The Church is also open to dialogue with seminarians who have been formationally orphaned.  Marital Status, Ethnicity, Orientation and Age are not factors in considering applications for formation or incardination.

The Evangelical Catholic Church is canonically prohibited from entering into dialogue with anyone convicted of sexual assault or abuse crimes.

For additional information regarding the vocational program and policies of the Church, please visit our vocational information page at www.evangelicalcatholicchurch.org/vocation.htm
