Diocese Announces
Priesthood Ordination
The Evangelical Catholic Diocese of the Northwest is pleased to announce the Ordination of Liam Nioclįs Kelly, a 31 year old native of Belfast, Ireland, to the Order of Priest on Saturday, September 29, 2007, the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, at 3:00 PM. The Ordination Mass is being hosted by the Church of the Atonement, 5749 North Kenmore Avenue in Chicago.
Liam Nioclįs began his formational journey with the Dominican Order in Ireland and began his academic studies with them. In 1998, Liam Nioclįs received his Diploma in Theology from the Dominican House of Studies in Tallaght. In 2001, Liam Nioclįs received a BA in Classics and Philosophy from the National University of Ireland in Maynooth and later that same year he received a Bachelors in Philosophy from the Pontifical University of Saint Patrick also in Maynooth. In 2002, Liam Nioclįs received a Masters in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
On May 13th, 2006, Liam Nioclįs was Ordained to the Order of Deacon and has since served, with distinction as pastoral associate at the Church of the Holy Family in Chicago.
