Bishop Calls for Juror Confidentiality Legislation
to prevent
Juror Financial Exploitation
In the wake of the announcement that Juror “B37” from
the George Zimmerman Trial has signed a book deal regarding the
Zimmerman Trial and has made the rounds of cable news shows this
evening, Bishop James Wilkowski, Evangelical Catholic Bishop for the
Diocese of the Northwest, is calling for a legislation which would
prohibit jurors from financial profit from their public service.
Juror B37 has cashed in on the corpse of Trayvon Martin and such
exploitation must never be permitted to take place. Such
exploitations serve only to bastardize the integrity of the judicial
system. It also has the effect of poisoning the pool of potential
jurors who might be called in any possible future proceedings
against Mr. Zimmerman.
The decision of B37 to commercially exploit her service as juror
poses the question of her integrity at the time she was being considered as a
potential juror for that trial.
The Bishop calls up literary agent Sharlene Martin is
disassociate herself from this venture of exploitation.
