Diocese Announces
Nine Week Summer Novena to Our Lady, Queen of Peace
for
End of Wars and Protection of Soldiers and Veterans

Bishop James Wilkowski, Evangelical Catholic Bishop for the Diocese of the Northwest, will hold a press conference at the Bishop's Residence on Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 to announce the beginning of a nine week summer Novena to Our Lady, Queen of Peace for the end to war and for the the protection of soldiers and military veterans.

 

This Novena will begin on Sunday, June 18th, the Feast of Corpus Christi and will conclude on Sunday, August 13th.  The first three Sundays of this Novena will be dedicated to an End to Wars, the following thee weeks of the Novena will be dedicated to the Protections of Soldiers and the final three weeks of the Novena will be dedicated to the needs and struggles of American Veterans.

 

This Novena will be celebrated at the Mission Church of the Holy Family in Chicago at 10:30 AM prior to the 11:00 AM Sunday Masses.  Deacon Nioclas Kelly will lead the Rosary for the Novenas and Bishop Wilkowski will celebrate the Masses following the Novenas

 

The Bishop will address questions regarding the position of the Evangelical Catholic Church on the matter of War and the failures of the American government to care for the needs of American Veterans.
