Diocese Announces Christmas
Eve Anti-Death Penalty
Prayer Vigil in Chicago
As it prepares to celebrate the Feast of the Birth of Christ, the Evangelical Catholic Diocese of the Northwest will sponsor a Christmas Eve Anti-Death Penalty Prayer Vigil in front of the James R. Thompson State of Illinois Building in Chicago from 6:30 to 7:00 PM.
This ecumenical prayer vigil will be lead by Bishop James Wilkowski and is open to all who wish to see an end to the death penalty in the State of Illinois and elsewhere.
Prior to this public vigil, the Bishop will celebrate Mass for the intentions of those who have been killed by acts of violence and also for those who have committed these acts and are now confined to death row.

Participants are asked to bring candles with them.
