Diocese encourages Governor and Legislature

to enact marriage equality in Illinois

The Evangelical Catholic Diocese of the Northwest calls upon Governor Quinn and the Illinois State Legislature to complete the process of enacting marriage equality for gender common couples.

 

Bishop James Wilkowski feels that “this is the secular season of Advent for which many of our state-wide family have been anticipating – the fulfillment of unconditional human rights and dignity.”

 

The Diocese calls upon our state wide leaders to complete this next step in the evolution of human rights as quickly as possible.
