Bishop to Offer
Personal Letter of Regret to
Venezuelan Consulate in Chicago

Bishop James Alan Wilkowski, Evangelical Catholic Bishop for the Diocese of the Northwest, will meet with Consul-General of the Venezuelan Consulate in Chicago on Thursday, August 25th, 2005 at 1:15 PM to present a personal letter of regret regarding recent statements by Pat Robertson.

As a member of the American Clerical community, Bishop Wilkowski finds Rev. Robertson's recent statements about Venezuelan President Chavez to be morally outrageous and worthy of ecumenical condemnation.  Bishop Wilkowski wishes for President Chavez and the people of Venezuela to know that Pat Robertson's comments are his own and do not represent the majority of the American pastoral community.
