Bishop to Attend
Prayer Vigil and Protest at Home Depot

Bishop James Wilkowski, Evangelical Catholic Bishop for the Diocese of the Northwest will participate in a Prayer Vigil and Protest at the Home Depot Store on 26th and Cicero Avenues on August 3, 2005 at 7:00 PM.  Bishop Wilkowski, along with the Latino Union Development condemns the harassment employed by Home Depot against local day laborers who come to 26th and Cicero seeking employment from area contractors.  Home Depot has recently had many job seekers arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. Several of those arrested will be appearing in the Maywood Courts on August 4th and 8th.

Bishop Wilkowski hope to persuade Home Depot to drop their complaints and chargers against these needy workers before trials begin.
