Diocese Announces Support
for
Big Box Living Wage Ordinance

The Evangelical Catholic Diocese of the Northwest wishes to announce its support for the Big Box Living Wage Ordinance to be considered by the Chicago City Council on Wednesday, July 26th, 2006. 

The Big Box Living Wage Ordinance will save Chicago's "working-poor" from falling into inescapable poverty.  The Big Box Living Wage Ordinance will protect workers from financial exploitation by corporations employing their own financial pyramid scams.

Bishop James Wilkowski respectfully calls upon the members of the Chicago City Council to pass this ordinance.

Bishop Wilkowski will participate in a Candle Light Vigil in front of Chicago's City Hall at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25th, 2006 to pray for the passage of the Big Box Living Wage Ordinance.
