National Conference and Retreat

 

 

The National Conference and Retreat for the Evangelical Catholic Church took place during the weekend of May 25th at the Todd Hall Retreat Center in Columbia, Illinois.

Two topics where the main focus of our discussion and discernment:  The Catechism for the Evangelical Catholic Church and the choice of translations of the Novis Ordo.

Much work was done on the proposed Catechism.  We completed better than half of the proposed recommendations and will complete the remaining proposals at our next conference.

Regarding the matter of Novis Ordo, it was the decision of the Conference to continue with the original translation of the Novis Ordo instead of the recently published new translation.

The Conference has recommended that the 2013 Conference and Retreat be held in Ireland, with Bishop Ryan and the Diocese of Ireland being host.
